Nonprofits throughout Central Florida, including United Against Poverty Orlando, are facing critical shortages as food demand surges and assistance programs see major cutbacks. With nearly double the number of grocery program members compared to last year, United Against Poverty is now purchasing essential items that were once donated. Executive Director Anjali Vaya highlights the growing struggle to keep shelves stocked and provide nutritious meals as costs rise and resources dwindle.
